external deployment plans for ears and ejbs

Hi,

is it possible to override ejb deployment descriptors by external deployment plans like Weblogic or Geronimo have?

For a resource adapter this works, the .rar stays unchanged while you can configure it in standalone.xml with

<subsystem xmlns="urn:jboss:domain:resource-adapters:1.0">

I'd like to have an ear or ejb.jar unchanged and override their definitions in standalone.xml or another place.

Is this possible?
