    Teiid and L10N Support

    scottmcentee

Can someone point me to documentation that discusses Teiid support for localization of messages?

I see that messages have been externalized to i18n.properties files, but do not see any localized versions of these files.

Is there any work underway to support localization of these messages?  If so, would the translated strings be packaged up and included in a future release?

There is no formal documenation yet.  Do you have a need for an alternative client or server localization?

I am not aware of community work in this regard, but there may eventually be an effort based upon customer need.

If you do want to work on the translations, we will accept your contributions and provide a way standard way to include them with the Teiid sources going forward. Let us know.

Localization readiness is a requirement for all internal development we do.  Actual localization is performed when it can be justified based on ROI.
Right now I am just gathering information to feed into the decision making process.

Reddy and your response is sufficient for my needs now.

              Thanks!
