1. Re: Multiple Server Instances on JBoss4.2.3
peterj Feb 21, 2013 10:02 AM (in response to mramajogi)I think the answer is yes (not exactly sure what you are asking...)
You can install Jboss AS in multiple location on the same machine.
In a single JBoss AS installation, you can create and multiple server instances by replicating the existiong directories under jboss_home/server. For example, I can copy server/default as server/instance1 and server/instance2 and run both of them at the same time. Each will use its own JVM.
This will help:https://community.jboss.org/wiki/ConfiguringMultipleJBossInstancesOnOneMachine

2. Re: Multiple Server Instances on JBoss4.2.3
mramajogi Feb 21, 2013 10:57 AM (in response to peterj)Thanks for your quick response Peter. Our requirement is to install two instances in the same JBoss server (not multiple servers on the same machine). JBoss5.1 is referred in the referenced URL. But we have to work with JBoss4.2.3 GA. So wanted to get expert help in this regard. So, your explanation above works for 4.2.3 GA also?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards,
Ramajogi
