Container Managed Entity Bean for File System????

Hi,
Is it possible to create a container managed persistence bean for file system or data from LDAP instead of database? If possible then how?

I know there is a CMP-->file persistence manager, but I don't know how it works. As for LDAP, Novell does have a JDBC->LDAP drivers, but I don't know how that works either.
