1. Re: Cannot determine java-type from given member [null]
nickarls Mar 6, 2013 5:28 PM (in response to klind)Try cranking up the log levels to TRACE, perhaps you can see what's being worked on.

3. Re: Cannot determine java-type from given member [null]
klind Mar 6, 2013 6:49 PM (in response to klind)My persistence.xml :
<persistence xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence/persistence_2_0.xsd"
version="2.0">
<persistence-unit name="jsi" transaction-type="JTA">
<provider>org.hibernate.ejb.HibernatePersistence</provider>
<jta-data-source>java:jboss/jsi/JSIXADataSource</jta-data-source>
<jar-file>entities-3.30.2-SNAPSHOT.jar</jar-file>
<properties>
<property name="hibernate.dialect" value="org.hibernate.dialect.PostgreSQLDialect" />
<property name="hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto" value="create-drop" />
<property name="hibernate.show.sql" value="true" />
</properties>
</persistence-unit>
</persistence>
but even though I out commented the jar file :
<!-- <jar-file>entities-3.30.2-SNAPSHOT.jar</jar-file> -->
I still get this error
The jar is the only place where there is @Entity.

4. Re: Cannot determine java-type from given member [null]
nickarls Mar 7, 2013 1:34 AM (in response to klind)Perhaps related to this? https://hibernate.onjira.com/browse/HHH-4870
There is a pointer on how to disable static metamodel generation (didn't read it through, though)

5. Re: Cannot determine java-type from given member [null]
klind Mar 7, 2013 8:38 PM (in response to nickarls)Even though I use hibernate 4.1.10.Final the problem is still there.
The <property name="hibernate.ejb.metamodel.generation" value="disabled" /> solved the problem.
But what is the downside to this.. ??
