ejbSelect and JBossQL/declaredSQL

There is any way to add a SQL sentence like "SELECT COUNT(*) FROM TABLENAME..." to an ejbSelect method using JBossQL/declaredSQL/DinamicQL?

so how do we do select count(*) from table.

do we have to get the collection and later calculate size of it ..

Yes, until I add support for the new 2.1 EJB-QL stuff (it is still in public draft).
