is it possible for live server to be backup server also?

I have to insert queue to each 4 servers and make them possible to failover.

No, live/backups are active/passive. However it is possible to colocate HornetQ live/backups inside the same AS (7.x)

but in my case,  i will embed hornetq in jetty.

ive never done it with Jetty so cant answer, but it should work, as long as configured correctly

could you let me know how to set configuration in jboss-as? I will reference that and try it with jetty.

and if I can't, I will find alternative way to implement this. so I have looked for that and I'm considering clustered-queue.
