Do i need to upgrade ejb2 entitybean to ejb3?

Hi,

I have ear project that has been developed on Jboss 4.

And there are many EJB2.0 entitybean classes. 

For deploy it to Jboss 7, Do i need to upgrade ejb2 entitybean to ejb3?

Or is there any way to simply resolve it like as fix ejb-jar.xml?

If you upgrade your deployment descriptor to conform to ejb-jar_2_1.xsd then you may be OK.

Does jbossAS7.1.1 supports ejb2?

It supports EJB 2.1.

You may have several issues if you ru EJB2.1 in AS7.1.1.

Specially if you use CMP Entities

If you have a chance you should use AS7.2 WildFly (8.x) or EAP6.1 in case of problems

I just noticed in your other thread that you have upgraded to ejb-jar_3_0.xsd. That's a perfectly legitimate thing to do, and in fact you should be able to upgrade it all the way to ejb-jar_3_1.xsd.

It will still support your CMP entity bean declarations.
