rich:editor and word doc

Hi,

I want to use rich:editor and am saving the data in db. It gets saved as a string. I want to send this as an word document (email attachment). How do I achieve this?

you could try to use POI in order to generate the doc.

Hi,

I am trying to do this. But, I am getting another issue. I have an editor, and I save the contents in a varchar field. When I go to the edit screen, the following values appear on top of the editor (I did not paste this from my resume!)

Why does this happen? I am using firefox on ubuntu.

if i use this word sdk to generate word documents,  then i  will use its word doc editor c#  to edit word doucments. in this way , it is easy for me to do all the editing work. so i have never have your problem.

by the way , what editor are you using, does it have generating feature.

I was using RichFaces rich:editor.
