I've found a link for last successfull build of SY (currently 1.1) SwitchYard-Release.

The question is what should switchyard.deployer be used for?

You can ignore that.  IINM, we used to publish that for inclusion in an OpenShift bundle, but we do that differently now.  Once I have confirmation from Magesh that's the case, I will remove it from the set of published build artifacts.
