Cluster without multicast at all

Hi,

multicast is not allowed in the data center that will host our application. According to the documentation if our product is not hosted on EC2, there' s no possibility to avoid multicast.

Is it possible to configure a cluster in distributed mode with unicast for members discovery ?

Of course you can. Just use one of the alternative discovery protocols available in JGroups:http://www.jgroups.org/manual-3.x/html/protlist.html#DiscoveryProtocols
