jboss 4.2.2 uses a completely different logging framework so Im not sure you will be able to do this.you should use Wildfly or at least jboss AS 7
Thanks Andy for a quick response. Do you mean I cannot upgrade the HQ v2.4 with Jboss 4.2? in that case why HQ distribution contains the installation for Jboss 4.2 version?.
Any suggestion would be much appreciated.

it might be possible however it is not supported, the 4.2 installation should have been removed.
Is there any reason you cant use Wildfly, 4.2 is sooo old
There is a plan to move to latest versions of Jboss for a longer term but for short term we wanted to upgrade to hornetq to get the benefits of cluster and backup feature.
I tried to upgrade to horentq 2.3.0 Final on Jboss 4.2.2 but getting same error and application doesn't start. Can you confirm which version of hornetq is supported for Jboss 4.2 release?. Presently we are having the hornetq 2.2.14.Final running on jboss 4.2.2, are there any chance of upgrading the Hornetq on this version?.
Thanks for your kind support.
