With jbosstools 4.1.2.Final I cannot debug

I installed JBossTools 4.1.2.Final in Eclipse (Keplter) I imported the JBoss quickstarts.

When I set a few breakpoint, for example in CreateControler.create in the greeter application, and start the server debugging, then when it falls in a breakpoint, it says: Source file not found.

I see an empty file witha  strange tab: CreateController.create() line 46. But he source file of CreateController is there, it was accidentally next to it On its tab is says: CreateController.java.

What am I doing wrong?

hmm - not sure what your are seeing. It works for me.

Import war, wait for import/build to finish

add break points

right click the war, run as...

chose jboss server

navigate to the content that hits the breakpoint - and it works.

Can you do a quick screencast of what you do ?

I use the quickstarts. First jboss-helloworld. When I set a breakpoint in HelloService.createHelloMessage, eclilipse falls into the breakpoint. So this is OK. But then I deploy jboss-numberguess. When I set a breakpoint in Generator.next, it goes wrong: the source file of Generator where I set the breakpoint in is still there, but next to it a new window shows up, with on the tab Generator.next lline 59. The content of the window is empty. This is a CDI method, I don't know if that matters. When I include all the source files ( in explorer in jee view: Maven, download sources) the Weld source files are also not found.

I'm having trouble visualizing what you mean. Can you provide a screenshot please?

I have the screendump attached.

On the most left you see the source window Generator.java, where I set the breakpoint in.

When the debugger falls into the breakpoint, a second window appears with on the tab Generator.getMaxNumber line 65. This window has empty content. But it shouldn't be there at all.

I found out that the problem has nothing to do with JBossTools. Probably it does with JBoss. So I will ask there.

sorry - we've had issues with notfifications so haven't received this before now ;/

did you find out what the issue was ? why did you think it was related to the server ?
