Hi, we are using Jboss 7.1 ,to hide the port number i have edited the standalone.xml file

These changes are working in my local system, but it is not working in the server, so can any one please provide the solution .

It is a bit unclear what you try to achieve, could you elaborate on this and explain what is your expectation and what exact not work as you expected?

I have edited standalone.xml file for hiding the portnumber changed the port number from 8080 to 80 in our server machine, but this is not working , we are getting 404 error, but the same thing is working fine in our local machine,so we are not able to figure out the exact issue.

The configuration should be correct, but maybe port 80 is not possible for other reasons.

What if you try 7070?

Port 80 is a reserved port and on most production systems will not be allowed for random software like WildFly/JBoss AS, unless you run it as root (which isn't recommended). If you are seeing 404, then chances are that some other server is probably already running on that port. Take a look your JBoss AS server startup logs and see if there are any error messages.
