You can use a <connection-listener> in WildFly for that...

Would you happen to have an example of that which I could mimic? I am a server side programmer, but just getting into Server Config, etc - so I am not too sure on where to add the code, and what configuration would really be needed?
I.E. is there an interface that needs to be implemented for this to work, if so which one?

Or find a place in your app where you add the unwrap call after datasource.getConnection()
