Wildfly stuck

Hi Guys we have a wildfly installed on suse11 and it got stuck and i cannot connect to it via the ./jboss-cli.sh

The controller is not available at localhost:9990: java.net.ConnectException: JBAS012144: Could not connect to http-remoting://localhost:9990. The connection timed out: JBAS012144: Could not connect to http-remoting://localhost:9990. The connection timed out

How can i shut it down without using the kill ?? we already have some application running on it.

Are you sure that WildFly is indeed up and running and that on that localhost port combination?

If you are sure and if you can login (ssh for example) to that system, then try getting a jstack output of that running process and post it here to see what's going on.

Are you running in domain or in standalone mode? Did you check the server.log
