1. Re: Domain mode deployment scanner documentation
jaysensharma Nov 25, 2015 9:30 AM (in response to genogp)The "deployment scanner" is not available in domain mode. That is present only in the standalone mode of WildFly/JBoss.
Thats the reason inside your domain.xml file you won't find any subsystem with name "deployment-scanner", As that subsystem is only found & designed for standalone mode.
As per link: https://docs.jboss.org/author/display/WFLY9/Deployment+Scanner+configuration
The deployment scanner is only used in standalone mode. Its job is to monitor a directory for new files and to deploy those files. It can be found in standalone.xml:
<subsystem xmlns=
"urn:jboss:domain:deployment-scanner:1.0"
>
<deployment-scanner scan-interval=
"5000"
relative-to=
"jboss.server.base.dir"
path=
"deployments"
/>
</subsystem>

2. Re: Domain mode deployment scanner documentation
genogp Nov 25, 2015 2:16 PM (in response to jaysensharma)Thanks for the reply. Makes sense. Just thought there was already a release out for this request for enhancement.

3. Re: Domain mode deployment scanner documentation
jaysensharma Nov 25, 2015 11:59 PM (in response to genogp)No, unfortunately that is still marked as Feature Request ([WFCORE-405] Filesystem deployment scanner for a managed domain - JBoss Issue Tracker) and not much progress happening on that. Until WildFly 10 CR3/4 i do not see any such feature introduced.
