odata url works odata4 equilance does not

I have edited .xml files for both odata and olingo war files to use ldap role as well as made changes in standalone.xml for applicationrealm to use ldap.

I can successfully use odata url but the odata4 url fails with 403 error.

Any suggestions ?

edit .xml file? what XML files?

By default the user needs a "odata" role irrespective of the authorization type used.

To remove the need you would need to edit respective war file's web.xml file.

I edited the web.xml file within the respectivve war files

I changed the odata role to be an ldap group

Everything seems to work fine from the odata url but given it's deprecated I don't want to continue that path but instead use the odata4.

However, the corresponding change within the olingo.war file results in a 403 error and not much to go on in the server.log file.

You need to edit "/teiid-${version}/modules/system/layers/dv/org/jboss/teiid/main/deployments/teiid-olingo-odata4.war" file's web.xml file, the semantics are exactly same as the OData V2. You would need to restart the server after the change.
