'hornetq-buffer-timeout' thread shown blocked

When I profiled the application running on wildfly-8.2, found that 'hornetq-buffer-timeout' thread in blocked status. What does this mean?

Please let me know if we need to do for better performance.

It seems to be periodic thread which is checking when buffer with data should be written to HornetQ journal. I think the logic here is pretty standard. If buffer is full then write buffer to journal immediately. If buffer is not full then then wait hornetq-buffer-timeout and then write buffer to journal.

Yes, it is periodic thread. I wonder why it's shown as blocked. Is there any chance of bottleneck due to this. Found only one thread like this.

I think, this is by design but of course it depends where it waits.
