shawkins Oct 24, 2017 8:09 AM (in response to uuliver)Precision and scale are expected to be imported along with the type. It seems like you may need to log an issue against Teiid Designer - JBoss Issue Tracker
You can try using the Teiid connection importer to verify the engine logic gives you the metadata you expect.

rareddy Oct 25, 2017 11:02 AM (in response to uuliver)In the Designer, where you select the "importers" you will find a "Teiid Connection Importer" use that. The difference here is, this uses the Teiid Server's configuration for the Data Source and its engine to retrieve the metadata and imports that into Designer. In other previous methods, Designer has its own importers to get to the metadata of the source.
