When a node is hung then you will not able to restart the node gracefully.

Hi Ann,
Please find the process id of your slave node , kill it using kill -9 <pid>.
Make sure that your process is not in zombie state.
Also try to capture and analyze GC logs to find out what caused your server to go in hung state.
