problem of source model when use designer

when i use designer create source model,the type of number will lose the precision

Can you describes the steps involved in creating the source model - was it an import or a copy?  Which source type?  And were you using the Teiid Connection Importer?

i create a connection an then create a source model by designer,and the source model includes some tables,my database is oracle .

Precision and scale are expected to be imported along with the type.  It seems like you may need to log an issue against Teiid Designer - JBoss Issue Tracker

You can try using the Teiid connection importer to verify the engine logic gives you the metadata you expect.

In the Designer, where you select the "importers" you will find a "Teiid Connection Importer" use that. The difference here is, this uses the Teiid Server's configuration for the Data Source and its engine to retrieve the metadata and imports that into Designer. In other previous methods, Designer has its own importers to get to the metadata of the source.
