1. Re: Wildcard search with % in request parameters
mayerw01 Dec 28, 2018 5:24 AM (in response to anil-pcc)This could be related to URIEncoding. You should check you browser settings. Please see also WildFly 10 - How to change default encoding?

anil-pcc Dec 28, 2018 6:41 AM (in response to mayerw01)Thanks for your reply Mayer. It doesn't work and I need to elaborate little more for you,
I have a URL i.e. http://example.com/page.html?path=%
I am trying to hit URL above so that in the server component '%' is to send the character to database and get all the values.
Wildfly is not accepting the request parameters with % to get the resultset.
Any solution.

3. Re: Wildcard search with % in request parameters
lafr Dec 28, 2018 9:31 AM (in response to anil-pcc)The percent character has special meaning in URLs, used in replacing not allowed characters.
If you e.g. have a blank in your URL, this has to be replaced by %20 (20 = hex value for ASCII code 32).
Try to send %25 instead of the single %.

4. Re: Wildcard search with % in request parameters
claudio4j Dec 28, 2018 9:36 AM (in response to anil-pcc)Let the '%' special character to pass in the sql query is not a recommended use case, maybe selecting all rows in a small table makes no difference for your scenario, but for big tables may negatively impact performance. Also some bad user may manipulate the url to query for sensitive data.
The wildfly http server encodes the % character to %25, that said, I think you should change your application to handles this situation.

5. Re: Wildcard search with % in request parameters
anil-pcc Dec 28, 2018 11:01 AM (in response to claudio4j)Yes I understood, but when we use Jboss we are able to send the % character in the get request parameter we are able to get the resultset. I am curious how we can manage so that Wildfly can handle % character.
Thank's for your reply.
