3. Re: can't find SerialContextProvider
adrian.brock Apr 17, 2002 8:21 AM (in response to ionel)From the classpath.
Otherwise you will use its naming instead
of jboss's
Jboss's is in client/jnp-client.jar along with the
other client jars you will need.

4. Re: can't find SerialContextProvider
ionel Apr 17, 2002 8:36 AM (in response to ionel)i now get a "javax.naming.NoInitialContextException: Need to specify class name in environment or system property, or as an applet parameter, or in an application resource file: java.naming.factory.initial"
i have a jndi.properties file in my build directory (root of all my client classes)
my client classpath needs to have :
- ejb.jar
- jaas.jar
- jbosssx-client.jar
- jboss-client.jar
- jnp-client.jar
- jndi.jar
is that all ?

5. Re: can't find SerialContextProvider
adrian.brock Apr 17, 2002 8:40 AM (in response to ionel)You need a jndi.properties in the classpath
or set the properties in your code.
e.g. for jndi.properties
java.naming.factory.initial=org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContextFactory
java.naming.factory.url.pkgs=org.jboss.naming:org.jnp.interfaces
java.naming.provider.url=localhost
