    MySql and EJB3 JMS problems and fix

    Brian Newbie

      Hi all,

      I'm using the latest setup:

      jboss-4.0.3
      ejb3RC3
      Mysql 4.1

      I installed 4.0.3 manually, not using the installer.

      So in order to switch JMS over from hsqldb to mysql I deleted

      \deploy-hasingleton\jms\hsqldb-jdbc2-service.xml
      \deploy-hasingleton\jms\hsqldb-jdbc-state-service.xml

      and used

      \deploy-hasingleton\jms\mysqldb-jdbc2-service.xml
      \deploy-hasingleton\jms\mysqldb-jdbc-state-service.xml

      instead. These files are available in the examples folder.
      However they do not work directly.

      I am getting the same error as outlined in many other posts such as:

      http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=69802

      The problem is in the mysql-jdbc2-service.xml file.

      Specifically these lines cause a problem

      BLOB_TYPE=BYTES_BLOB
      INSERT_TX = INSERT INTO JMS_TRANSACTIONS (TXID) values(?)
      INSERT_MESSAGE = INSERT INTO JMS_MESSAGES (MESSAGEID, DESTINATION, MESSAGEBLOB, TXID, TXOP) VALUES(?,?,?,?,?)

      DELETE_ALL_TX = DELETE FROM JMS_TRANSACTIONS

      CREATE_TX_TABLE = CREATE TABLE JMS_TRANSACTIONS ( TXID INTEGER, PRIMARY KEY (TXID) )

      editing them to these lines fixes the problem.

      can someone look at this and if it's correct can you change what gets shipped with jboss.
