Actionhandler to Node

Hi all,
I need to perform some action (processed by a java method). What configuration type should i set. (field or constructor or bean or compatibility).
Need suggestion on this.

field or constructor or bean, at least not compatibility. The latter is for backwardscompatibility with 2.0
