peterj Sep 18, 2006 3:57 PM (in response to mmontoni)The Portal source is now in subversion. Try this instead:
svn co http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/portal/branches/JBoss_Portal_Branch_2_4/ -

mmontoni Sep 18, 2006 5:37 PM (in response to mmontoni)Hi Peter,
I tried using Tortoise but I am getting an error.
Error: REPORT request failed on '/repos/portal/!svn/vcc/default'
Error: REPORT of '/repos/portal/!svn/vcc/default': 400 Bad Request (http://anonsvn.jboss.org)
Do you know what that means?
Thanks,

peterj Sep 18, 2006 5:40 PM (in response to mmontoni)No, I don't know what that means, but I have had all kinds of problems using TortoiseSVN to get source out fo the JBoss SVN repository, but using the command line seems to work fine. Just add the TortoiseSVN installation directory to your PATH (it includes all of the SVN command line utilities).

unibrew Sep 18, 2006 6:04 PM (in response to mmontoni)Hello Mariella
I would suggest checking your firewall and/or antivirus. They might block http packets sent by TortoiseSVN.
Anyway, usesvn co http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/portal/branches/JBoss_Portal_Branch_2_4/
as PeterJ said. It is the most reliable sollution :-)

mmontoni Sep 19, 2006 12:46 PM (in response to mmontoni)Hi guys,
thank you very much for the tip but it is not working still. I added C:\Program Files\TortoiseSVN in my path but it can't find the svn command. Also, I thought that in order to this to work I should have the svn.exe in tortoisesvn and I can't find it there....
Thanks,
Mariella. -

peterj Sep 19, 2006 1:36 PM (in response to mmontoni)Sorry, but I got confused between TortoiseCVS (which comes with the CVS command line executables) and TortoiseSVN (which does not have the SVN commands). Looks like you will have to download Subversion to get the commands.

mmontoni Sep 19, 2006 1:54 PM (in response to mmontoni)Hi,
I did download Subversion, but I still get the same problem...I strongly believe it is a proxy issue. I am working on that right now. After I am done downloading to I have to build Jboss portal branch 2.4 in order to build the forum portlet...? I notice the foums depends on some jars from Jboss portal. -

unibrew Sep 19, 2006 2:11 PM (in response to mmontoni)Hi
Maybe this will help you: http://subversion.tigris.org/faq.html#proxy
Yes, you have to build Portal before building Forums.
