norman.richards Oct 5, 2007 3:15 PM (in response to norman.richards)You should be able to drop in the new JARs and go.

4. Re: 2.0.0 CR2 is out
asavitsky Oct 5, 2007 3:45 PM (in response to norman.richards)There are a few problems with this release (as far as Maven is concerned, anyway):
1. Jboss-EL is still CR1 - have there been any changes to it as part of CR2?
2. Source JARs have incorrect naming - there's an extra dash in there that makes them unrecognizable to Maven("jboss-seam-2.0.0.CR2--sources.jar" vs expected "jboss-seam-2.0.0.CR2-sources.jar")
3. Seam UI declares a hard dependency on JSP-API, which makes absolutely no sense if Facelets are used. Shouldn't that one be declared as "provided", just like JSF RI does it?
Other than that, thanks for the good work!

nickarls Oct 5, 2007 4:07 PM (in response to norman.richards)I have very little experience with maven repositories but running "seam setup" ootb produced

igx89 Oct 5, 2007 4:18 PM (in response to norman.richards)In the POM's I'm seeing no references to the dependency org.hibernate:hibernate-commons-annotations:3.0.0.ga (containing code that was refactored out of the latest release of hibernate-annotations; see http://opensource.atlassian.com/projects/hibernate/browse/HV-26)

Yes, this should have been updated. We plan to establish a separate versioning scheme for JBoss EL soon.2. Source JARs have incorrect naming - there's an extra dash in there that makes them unrecognizable to Maven("jboss-seam-2.0.0.CR2--sources.jar" vs expected "jboss-seam-2.0.0.CR2-sources.jar")
Oops, fixed in CVS for the next release.3. Seam UI declares a hard dependency on JSP-API, which makes absolutely no sense if Facelets are used. Shouldn't that one be declared as "provided", just like JSF RI does it?
I've declared it optional as it's just that :) -

Yes, this is a screwup. Try running ant build in the main download directory as a workaround. -
