Jboss ESB in JBoss AS 5.0

    soheil_has

      Dear All,

There is an entry on the JIRA about supporting JBoss EBS 4.x on JBoss AS 5.0
I would like to know if JBoss ESB 4.x can be deploy on JBoss AS 5.0.

If no, would you please let me know when AS 5.0 is supported by the ESB?

      Bests,
      Soheil

          Hi Soheil,

as you mentioned we are working on this at the moment. We are trying out a update made to the Microcontainer and to JBossWS projects which are required by us.
After this will still have some work with regard to testing and also merging this work back to the main trunk.

I'm not sure which version of JBoss AS we will target. It might be AS 5.0.1 or AS 5.1. I think that Kevin might have a better picture of this. Kev?

          Regards,

          /Daniel

The current plan is to support AS 5.1 as part of the ESB 4.6 work Daniel is already carrying out. He had to ask for some changes in the underlying codebase and these should be available in the 5.1 release.

              Thanks for your reply.

Would you please let me know :
              1. When will the JBoss ESB 4.6 be released?
              2. What about the trunk, can I use it on 5.0 AS ?
              3. Anybody's workspace on the SVN deployable on JBoss AS 5.0?

                Hi Soheil,

                2. What about the trunk, can I use it on 5.0 AS ?

Not yet. I've not merged the changes required back to the main trunk yet.

                3. Anybody's workspace on the SVN deployable on JBoss AS 5.0?

Yes, but at the moment this requires patches to AS 5. We will hopefully have our required changes in an AS branch in the next days or so. I'll then post to the forums with information about how you can try this out. I'll update this thread at that time so that you are informed of it.

                Regards,

                /Daniel
