The mecanism of relationnel Table creation of entity beans

Hi ,

I wanna understand how the server jboss can create tables from entity beans ,I know that it by the Database Api (hsqldb in my case) and persistence.xml ,but i can not understand the mecanism .

How detailed of an explanation do you want? Basically, Hibernate (which is the underlying mechanism used by JBoss AS to support JPA) examines the contents of the entity bean and creates a "CREATE TABLE" SQL statement based on what it finds and submits that to the database. Hibernate maintains mappings of Java data types to database data types for a variety of databases so that it can correctly define the column types when iy creates a table.

This is exactly what i want to understand !!:)) But what is Hibernate "(which is the underlying mechanism used by JBoss AS to support JPA)" i can't understand this phrase!! what is Hibernate relation with persistence

You can read about Hibernate on the Hibernate web site at https://www.hibernate.org/. And there are several good books about Hibernate - "Java Persistence with Hibernate" comes to mind.
