    What JBoss components are included in Gatein?

      I'm just wandering what JBoss Portal components/capabilities are retained in the GateIn portal? Or is just eXo Portal ported to run on JBoss EAP?

          Andrei,

          GateIn is a combination of both JBoss's and Exo's Portals.  The breakdown is as follows:

           

          Components of GateIn from JBoss Portal:

          • Portlet 2.0 Container
          • JBoss Security and Identity - See JBossSX and PicketLink
          • JBoss WSRP
          • JBoss PortletBridge

           

          Components of GateIn from Exo:

          • Exo's JCR
          • Exo's Page UI
          • Exo's Admin UI
          • Exo's Application Registry

           

          Realize that the majority of these components have undergone a *lot* of changes over their predecesors in order to improve performance and usability.
