We don't embed Javascript framework such as Prototype, jQuery or else so that you can use those you want without having to fear any collision with what we ship.

Issue we had with JBoss Portal is that since we shipped Prototype, users were tight to the version we used. Now you are free to decide what framework and which version you want to use.
