Disable Calendar using javascript on client side

Hi,
I want to disable/enable the rich:calendar control using javascript. Is it possible to do so ? Can someone help me with this.

unfortunatelly by setting conditional returns in onexpand and controlling input from your own disablement js. open RFC for that.
