Hornetq paging directory is not getting cleaned

We have 3.8G worth of data lying in the paging directory , This directory is not getting cleaned up. Though the consumer has consumed all the messages. Its been 24 hours since this has happened but i still see paging directory being 3.8G . Though overall queue is sending and consuming data in a proper way.

You probably have a dead subscription then?

there was a bug but it was fixed at the version you are using.

You could either use JMX to validate if the queues are as you expect.. or print-data and print-pages. (two utility classes that are on hornetq-core.jar).
