    What is seamFilter for?

    jeff liu Newbie

      Hello everyone
      I just upgrade my application from seam 1.2 to 2.0.1, encountering the following issue. I use a servlet to render some of my ui, but now when it access index.jeff, it returns blank page without any html tag. If I remove the seamFilter tag in web.xml, it works. And, I found out there is a filter for ajax4jsf. Do I need to implement a filter for my renderer servlet?
      Here is my shorten version of web.xml

      <!--my simple renderer -->
       <servlet>
            <servlet-name>jeffvlet</servlet-name>
            <servlet-class>org.jeff.MyServlet</servlet-class>
          </servlet>

          <servlet-mapping>
            <servlet-name>jeffvlet</servlet-name>
            <url-pattern>*.jeff</url-pattern>
          </servlet-mapping>
      <!-- Seam -->

          <listener>
            <listener-class>org.jboss.seam.servlet.SeamListener</listener-class>
          </listener>

          <filter>
            <filter-name>Seam Filter</filter-name>
            <filter-class>org.jboss.seam.servlet.SeamFilter</filter-class>
          </filter>

          <filter-mapping>
            <filter-name>Seam Filter</filter-name>
            <url-pattern>/seam/*</url-pattern>
          </filter-mapping>

          <servlet>
            <servlet-name>Seam Resource Servlet</servlet-name>
            <servlet-class>org.jboss.seam.servlet.SeamResourceServlet</servlet-class>
          </servlet>

          <servlet-mapping>
            <servlet-name>Seam Resource Servlet</servlet-name>
            <url-pattern>/seam/resource/*</url-pattern>
          </servlet-mapping>

      Thank you very much
