15. Re: SEAM 2.1.0 CR1 and Jboss AS 5.0 CR2
vimalkansal Oct 3, 2008 3:23 PM (in response to vimalkansal)Ok, so I copied the components.properties to WEB-INF/classes and the application deploys just fine! But after deployment, when I click on xxxList etc in the UI it throws up some other exceptions, but you are right I think seam-gen may need to be modified to package the components.properties under WEB-INF/classes. I am going to reopen this bug as SEAM bug.

vimalkansal Oct 3, 2008 3:53 PM (in response to vimalkansal)Please also look at :
https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBSEAM-3501
Once I copy the components.properties to WEB-INF/classes, I run into other exception that I have mentioned in this bug.

Although you have closed JBSEAM-3501, but if you read my comment on it, probably you might like to have a second thought on it.

I am sorry that I took the liberty of reopening the issue, but even after reading my comment on JIRA, you still feel it should be closed, please do so. On my side I am pretty sure that what I am seeing is not the result of any code on my part, because I didn't write/change even a single letter in the code generated by seam-gen

to validate it doesn't break again in future once these issues are fixed? -

Pete, is there a way we run seam-gen within the JBossAS testsuite
to validate it doesn't break again in future once these issues are fixed?Adrian, we don't currently have any automated tests for seam-gen. Planned is simple deployment test and a selenium test which will deploy the created app and test the UI, once we have these it should be easy to include them in the JBossAS testsuite. I hope we get these in a week or two.
