developing a large seam application made me to spend some time with testing and debugging of the output.

I am sure that the majority of you uses Firefox Firebug plugin. I wanted to evaluate more. I wanted to know the behavior of the pages when I set low latency or low bandwidth. I also wanted to know what pages contains or to selectively get information about a subset of pages.

I have developed a tool CZProxy (Wiki, Download) that will help with it. It is open source, so if you are interested go for it.

There is a similar tool called Charles offering these features, but it is not free.

You may find it useful for whatever web application.
