1. Re: A handy method for quickstarts deployment
kcbabo Jul 30, 2012 1:57 PM (in response to tadayosi)I think it's a great idea to make these easier to deploy from the build environment. Please file a JIRA and if you like I can assign it to you to create a patch. :-) We could probably put the plugin config in the root pom.xml for quickstarts and then it will just be inherited by all other quickstart projects.
Any reason to use the cargo plugin instead of the JBoss AS 7 maven deploy plugin?

tadayosi Jul 31, 2012 8:40 AM (in response to kcbabo)Thank you, Keith. I've just filed a JIRA, and am willing to take this responsibility :-) I would agree that putting the plugin config to the root pom.xml is better.

There is no reason I chose the cargo plugin; it's just my ignorance to the JBoss AS 7 plugin. Thank you for the suggestion. Of course, the JBoss AS 7 plugin should be better for SY quickstarts.
I have another question. In the readmes, they always guide the build step as 'mvn clean install.' I'd think just 'mvn clean package' is enough. Is there any reason we need to install quickstarts to our local maven repos?
Thanks.
