ADFS as STS, JBoss 5.1.0, WS-Trust implementation to authenticate clients for using axis2 web services

Hi,

I am new to picketlink. I have done a sample implementation for SAML 2.0 authentication for a web application deployed on JBoss. I am able to configure the ADFS 2.0 as STS and authenticate users when they browse the application URL. I have referred the PicketLink wiki articles to implement this.

I have to do another POC to authenticate clients trying to connect to web services using ADFS 2.0 as STS. The web services are written using Axis2 web service stack deployed on JBoss 5.1.0. I have to use ADFS 2.0 as the STS and authenticate web service clients before they can access the web service. Can we implement this using PicketLink? Can I get any sample implementation/configuration for implementing this?

We have not seen users with this usecase yet. Typically, users contribute HOW-To articles when they encounter an usecase and succeed with it.

Any luck securing web service using ADFS as STS ? I am trying to find an example configuration on how to go about doing this with picketlink. Thanks in advance for any information.

We have not tried it. Look at the articles that involve PicketLink STS. Just replace the PL STS end with ADFS. The settings on the client side should be similar apart from the sts urls.

Try it out and tell us.
