Infinispan Jgroups different machines same network

Hi All,

What is the jgroups configuration for jgroups-tcp.xml so hat two different machines on same network can see cache.

My set up:

Currently using infinispan 5.1.2Final

Two different machines

Machine1: 10.0.50.31

Machine 2: 10.0.50.32

The jgroups-tcp.xml that we ship uses multicast to discover nodes, so you need to make sure multicat communication works.

Things to try are suggested in http://www.jgroups.org/manual/html/ch02.html (from 2.8 onwards)

You can alternatively modify jgroups-tcp.xml to use TCPPING and hardcode the addresses.

Thanks for the response.

If I am using TCPPING should this look something similar assuming my two hosts are 10.0.50.31 and 10.0.50.32

    <TCPPING timeout="3000"
             initial_hosts="${jgroups.tcpping.initial_hosts:10.0.50.31[7800],10.0.50.31[7801],10.0.50.32[7800],10.0.50.32[7800]}"
             port_range="1"
             num_initial_members="3"/>

You really only need:

initial_hosts="${jgroups.tcpping.initial_hosts:10.0.50.31[7800],10.0.50.32[7800]}"

The port range parameter will take care of the rest
