    Jboss-jgroups cluster broken

    carlos roman Newbie

      Hello,

I have installed Jboss 5.1.0.GA  (with jgroups 2.6.10.GA) in three nodes in TCP Cluster.

I have included JBM in the cluster also, so i have four services in cluster.

JBM-DATA over the 7900 default port and another 3 services ( including Messaging-CTRL ) over the stack port 7600.

Im using TCPPING instead MPING for JBM-DATA stack; and tcp stack for JBM Control Post-Office.

After start-up; each node connected succefullly with the rest, forming the cluster, and i got a successfully view using the probe jgroups application, and the application work fine.

The system seem stable during one week more-less, but after that, and followed any (unkownledge by now) network little problem ( i suppose ), the jgroups cluster is broken, and the jgroups probe application get to me an inconsistency formed cluster for my 4 cluster services.

In the server logs of any of three nodes ( not allways the same) appear repeatedly the next error:

      org.jgroups.ChannelException: local_addr is null

      at org.jgroups.JChannel.startStack(JChannel.java:1631)

      at org.jgroups.JChannel.connect(JChannel.java:366)

      at org.jgroups.JChannel$CloserThread.run(JChannel.java:2046)

I have read this issue: ( https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JGRP-1006)  and this discussion (https://community.jboss.org/thread/2581?_sscc=t)

Do you know if this fix: ( install Jgroups 2.6.11.GA or 2.6.13.GA ) under Jboss5.1.0.GA; could resolve my problem?

      Thanks,

          Hello again,

Finally i have reproduced the problem playing with the energy power feature of the nodes where Jboss is installed. I one node go to down with the energy feature and the nertwork card go to poweroff, after that, the power on reported the problem.

I have resolved the problem upgrading Jgroups to 2.6.15.GA, so i have one doubt:

Do you know somebody used Jboss5.1.0.GA with Jgroups 2.6.15.GA?

          Thanks a lot!

          Regards,
