pilhuhn Mar 21, 2013 3:03 AM (in response to huchangchun)Changchun,
we expect this to happen around mid next week.
Already passing most tests is awesome news. Could you then please also specify how to set up and which MySQL version is needed and so on?

huchangchun Mar 21, 2013 11:10 PM (in response to pilhuhn)Hi Heiko and John,
It is a good news to know that will happen soon. We will merge our code change for the integration of mysql to master branch then. I draft a document at https://docs.jboss.org/author/display/RHQ/Design-MySQL for your information.
Thank you and best regards.

pilhuhn Apr 26, 2013 6:46 AM (in response to huchangchun)Changchun,
sorry that I did not react to your previous post.
We are still in the "we have a successful build for master, but need to do additional checks" phase - especially as we are building the JBossON product based on those RHQ sources.
I will definitively keep you posted and will also work that we will finally move.
Sorry again

huchangchun Nov 29, 2013 2:08 AM (in response to pilhuhn)Hello Heiko,
Is there any progress of migrating RHQ to Github?
We have run RHQ server with MySQL as backend database for one year. And we would like to contribute it, if RHQ team accept.
Many thanks.

genman Dec 3, 2013 1:02 AM (in response to huchangchun)1 of 1 people found this helpfulChangchun, I've had many patches make it into RHQ. It isn't always easy, sorry.
My suggestion to you is to create a Bugzilla entry and attach patches there. Then bring up the issue on the development mailing list, which is sometimes responsive.
Unfortunately, I don't think RHQ is going to move to Github. I've raised this issue a few times. Mainly I'd like to contribute back a lot of plugins but it's more difficult when they are managed as part of one large repository.

pilhuhn Dec 3, 2013 2:47 AM (in response to genman)1 of 1 people found this helpfulHey,
I think I need to chime in again, as I was the one making this "soon" promise based on the "knowledge of the day" when I wrote that. The plan is still to move to GitHub and also to split repositories (and as soon as possible).
Having said that, opening BZs is never wrong.
I am sorry, that this is all more complicated than it should be and than what I also expected it to be - I am not happy with the situation either and I am/we are trying to improve the situation.
