    Generate REST WAR

    Van Halbert Master

A REST war can be generated 2 ways:

      -  In Designer by right mouse click on vdb (if it has a rest procedure) and generate war

      -  By specifying in the VDB to auto-generate the war when the VDB is deployed.

Should the war's be the same and expect the same behavior?  (Besides the context being different).

I'm asking because I'm not seeing the same behavior, and therefore, not sure what the reason is for using which one.  I'm currently not having success with either, but I am getting further with the Designer generated version.

I have more digging to do, but was hoping to get a  quick insight.

      Thanks.

Being the same is not needed.  Ideally the Designer generated war can be customized as needed prior to deployment.  But yes consitent behavior and handling of extension metadata should be a goal.

We have arquillian integration tests for the auto generated scenario that may be good to look at as well.  Any issues you hit though would be good to bring up.
