order by in JBOSS 3.0.7

I can use "order by" queries in JBOSS 3.2.1, but it seems that JBOSS 3.0.7 does not support "order by" queries. If I'm right, how can I order by queries in JBOSS 3.0.7?

Should be possible with declared SQL queries (sent uninterpreted to the database) or with BMP style finder implementation overrides.
