Teiid instance configuration in JBOSS

Hi,

I am new to Teiid and currently trying to install the product and get started.

I have installed EAP 6.1 Final and attempted to install teiid 8.5 on top of that. The server startup log does not show any error ( and having messages of understanding all the translators and drivers specified in the standalone xml, but when I look at the console, it does not have any teiid runtime deployments present.

Can you help in identifying the issue?

Currently, I am trying to get the EAP Alpha installed and see whether it works. What I did previously is the EAP 6.1 final version.

Iyappan,

You need to download EAP 6.1 Alpha. Then you can unzip the Teiid 8.5 zip on top it. Then start the JBoss AS as

<jboss-as>/bin/standalone.bat -c standalone-teiid.xml
or
<jboss-as>/bin/standalone.sh -c standalone-teiid.xml

BTW, Teiid currently does not support EAP 6.1 Final with community Teiid releases due to EAP 6.1 Final licencing restrictions. If you want you can get Data Virtualization 6, Teiid in product form from Redhat, that is fully supported by Redhat that works with EAP 6.1 Final. For that you need to contact Redhat, or if you have access to Redhat customer portal you can download a evaluation copy. See http://www.redhat.com/products/jbossenterprisemiddleware/data-services/
