Which version of AS7 do you use exactly?
I did not know what jforum is, but if it is a EE application it should possible to add that to the deployments folder. The 'tmp' directory will be definitive the wrong approach.
Maybe you add a link to jforum and describe a bit more.
JBoss AS - jboss-as-7.1.1.Final.tar.gz
jforum is a forum engine. I have downloaded it here https://code.google.com/p/jforum2 as war file. JBoss AS7 runs on openSuse 12.3, x64.
i have inserted the jforum.war into .../standalone/deployments . The JBoss created a jforum.war.deployed file. Thats all. After search I have found in standalone/tmp/vfs two directory. One of it is unpacked jforum.
I have added Attachments and screenshort .
standalone.xml 17.0 KB
If JBoss creates a xxx.deployed file this is the marker for a successful deployment.
You might have a look into standalone/log/server.log to see details of the deployment. Maybe jforum log something.
From the server perspective all work is done you should be able to use jforum, and I suppose you need to find help there this is not a JBoss issue how to use it.
yes this is ok. But the problem is the next start of JBoss. By reloading (restarting) of AS, it doesn't uses the present instance of jforum. It create a new one. Why, how can i this avoid ?
PS. to info. The jforum is application. The first start of jforum is installation step. The second is setting up. Only on third step can i (people) use the forum. By current behaviour each start of JBoss trends to crash all datas (posts) of forum and force the installation of application. I need this to avoid.
