1. Re: How to keep serving when updating applications with cluster mode?
wdfink Feb 25, 2014 4:52 AM (in response to sndaemon)It is not clear to me, did you mean you use domain mode and redeploy a war to a server group?
In that case you might split the server-group into two and you are able to update one after the other.

2. Re: How to keep serving when updating applications with cluster mode?
sndaemon Feb 25, 2014 5:55 AM (in response to wdfink)Yes,I did.
But when undeployed the war,it was failed,because the war was still used by the other server-group:
[domain@10.19.220.171:9990 /] undeploy HelloWorld.war --server-groups=main-server-group
Undeploy failed: {"JBAS014653: Composite operation failed and was rolled back. Steps that failed:" => {"Operation step-3" => "JBAS010861: Cannot remove deployment HelloWorld.war from the domain as it is still used by server groups [other-server-group]"}
It still need to undeploy for both server-groups at the same time:
[domain@10.19.220.171:9990 /] undeploy HelloWorld.war --server-groups=main-server-group,other-server-group
And then,all servers redeployed.

3. Re: How to keep serving when updating applications with cluster mode?
wdfink Feb 25, 2014 11:22 AM (in response to sndaemon)Not tried, but I think you can undeploy with --keep-content=true and deploy the new war with a different runtime name.
After that you should be able to handle it different
