Hi,

      I have a4j:ajax inside h:inputText. I have a blur event which hits backingBean. However, the listener method is not at all being hit and in Firebug console I can see below error in response

      <partial-response><error><error-name>java.lang.NullPointerException</error-name><error-message><![CDATA[]]></error-message></error></partial-response>

      The code is as below

      <a4j:region id="storeRegion">

            <h:inputText

                  id="storeId"

                  value="#{handlerBean.storeId}"

                  size="10"

                  maxlength="10"

             >

                  <a4j:ajax

                       event="blur"

                       listener="#{handlerBean.getChangeStore}"

                       render="newStoreName'

                       oncomplete="doSomeAction;"

                  />

             </h:inputText>

             <a4j:status id="storeStatue">

                       <f:facet name="start">

                                 <h:graphicImage  value="/images/ajax/ajax_process.gif"/>

                        </f:facet>

             </a4j:status>

             <a4j:outputPanel id="storeCheck">

                  <h:outputText

                       id="storeCheckMessageValue"

                       value="Testing......."

                       rendered="#{handlerBean.storeCheckRequired}"

                  />

             </a4j:outputPanel>

        </a4j:region>

      Can anyone please help me how do I see the exact cause of NPE exception?

      Thanks!
