Geometry from Longitude/latitude (doubles)

IS there any support for returning a geometry type from longitude and latitude (both as doubles)?

The UDF approach that you are taking in [TEIID-4331] Use of st_geomfromText wrapped around a UDF fails. - JBoss Issue Tracker can work - but the function name ST_POINT does conflict with the standard function name that is expected to return a geometry type. Can you log a JIRA to add some geometry construction methods?
