As long as you are not doing any updates on the source table, you could change it's name in source property to "name WITH (NOLOCK)" rather than just "name".  Otherwise an enhancement would be required to look for an analogous source hint (Federated Optimizations · Teiid Documentation ) and place it in the source query in the correct location.
